Book Stand

Originally designed to keep recipe books open while cooking, Book Stand now extends its use to display art books and printed matter. Balancing crafted wood, weighted cords, and metal fittings, it frames the act of reading as both functional and sculptural.

Maker

Louie Isaaman-Jones is an artist and designer based in London whose practice moves between furniture, sculpture, and object. Trained in design but working with the instincts of an artist, he uses traditional tools and hand processes to make works that balance use and presence. He often works with reclaimed wood and found materials, chosen for their irregularities as much as their potential to take form.
