By accessing this website and/or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions. These Terms are intended to ensure clarity and protect both you as a customer and the independent makers and producers we collaborate with. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

2. Orders & Acceptance

When you place an order, you will receive an email confirming that we have received it. This confirmation does not constitute acceptance. Your order is accepted once it has been processed, payment has been received, and availability is confirmed.

We reserve the right to cancel any order before dispatch in the event of product unavailability, pricing errors, or suspected fraudulent activity. If your order is cancelled, you will receive a full refund.

 

3. Handmade, Vintage & Limited-Edition Items

Many of the pieces we offer are handmade, vintage, one-of-a-kind, or produced in limited runs. As such:

  • Natural variations in surface, colour, and form are inherent to their character and not considered defects.

  • Vintage and found pieces may show signs of age or previous use, which form part of their provenance and value.

  • Product descriptions and imagery are provided to accurately represent each item, but slight differences may occur.

By purchasing these items, you acknowledge these characteristics as part of the nature of the work.

 

4. Pricing & Currency

All prices are listed in Danish kroner (DKK) and include 25% VAT unless otherwise stated. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

For international orders outside the EU, the customer is responsible for any import duties, customs fees, or taxes applied by the destination country. These charges are not included in the purchase price.

We reserve the right to adjust prices at any time.

 

5. Shipping & Delivery

We ship worldwide. Delivery times depend on your location and the courier service. Any delivery times provided are estimates and cannot be guaranteed.

Delays caused by customs processing, local postal services, courier disruption, or circumstances beyond our control are not the responsibility of Aarticles ApS.

6. Right of Withdrawal, Returns & Refunds

EU Customers

If you are based within the EU, you have the legal right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order.

To exercise this right:

  • Email shop@aarticles.co with your order number.

  • Items must be returned unused, in original packaging, and in the same condition as received.

  • Unless otherwise agreed, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

  • Once approved, refunds will be made within 14 days of receiving the returned item.

Non-EU Customers

For customers outside the EU, all sales are final. Returns or cancellations are not accepted unless the item is damaged in transit or found to have a manufacturing defect.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or refunded unless faulty:

  • Made-to-order or customised pieces

  • Limited-edition and one-of-a-kind works

  • Vintage and found objects

  • Items returned without prior written authorisation

Faulty or Damaged Goods

If your item arrives damaged or you believe it to be defective:

  • Contact us immediately at shop@aarticles.co with photographic evidence

  • Where a manufacturing defect is confirmed, we will repair, replace, or refund the item

  • If a replacement is not possible (e.g. one-of-a-kind item), a refund will be issued

 

7. Warranty (Reklamationsret)

Under Danish law, you are entitled to a 24-month warranty (reklamationsret) covering manufacturing defects.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Natural variations or irregularities in handmade items

  • Age-related signs of wear on vintage pieces

  • Damage caused by improper use, handling, or care

  • Changes in appearance due to environmental exposure (light, moisture, heat)

If you believe your item has a manufacturing defect, please contact us as soon as possible.

 

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including images, text, product names, and visual identity, is the property of Aarticles ApS or our collaborating makers and may not be reproduced without prior written consent.

 

9. Privacy & Data Protection

We process your personal data in compliance with GDPR and our Privacy Policy. Payment information is securely encrypted and processed through Shopify Payments or trusted third-party providers. By using our site, you agree to the use of cookies and analytics to improve browsing experience.

 

10. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use this website for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose, including:

  • Violating intellectual property rights

  • Uploading malicious or harmful code

  • Interfering with website functionality or security

We reserve the right to restrict access if misuse is suspected.

 

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aarticles ApS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our site or purchase of our products. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

 

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by Danish law. Consumers within the EU may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/odr.

 

13. Store Host

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products to you.

 

14. Amendments

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page, and continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
