J. Hannah

Founded in Los Angeles by Jess Hannah Révész, J. Hannah is a multidisciplinary practice best known for jewellery defined by clarity of line and architectural restraint. Rings and necklaces are reduced to essential form: polished surfaces, balanced proportions, a precise geometry that recalls both modernist sculpture and the functional elegance of early twentieth-century design.

Collaborations with artists and cultural institutions - including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, LACMA, and film studio A24 - demonstrate J. Hannah as a multidisciplinary practice at work. From chromatic studies in nail colour to exhibition commissions, each project preserves a pared aesthetic while extending the studio’s cultural reach.

The J.H lamps extend the studio’s language into lighting; cast in polished aluminium, they retain the same attention to edge and surface found in jewellery. The shift, however, becomes a study in scale: forms that once rested on the body now find echo in the room. The result is more an extension than departure, using jewellery’s discipline of detail to guide a new typology of object.

Within the lamps, proportion functions as constant, whether traced on a hand or translated into illumination. Aluminium is polished to a near-mirror finish, reflecting its environment while absorbing shadow. Geometry is reduced to line and plane, echoing the architectural impulses present since the earliest rings. In this translation, intimacy becomes atmosphere, the gestures of adornment re-emerge in space.
