Bizenyaki Plate Medium

Hand-thrown during a residency in Japan, this Bizenyaki vase is wood-fired using one of Japan's oldest ceramic traditions. Left unglazed, the surface is shaped by flame, ash and the kiln itself, revealing subtle variations in colour and texture that make each piece entirely unique.
